In Bev’s words

Training, fuelling, recovery.

I found the gym in my early twenties and running in my late twenties which helped me get over battles with drink and drugs. I progressed from road running into the trails and mounatins seaching big and better challenges. The gym makes sure I'm strong enough to play in the hills all day and playing in the hills is what gives me my kicks.

A highlight for me is realising the adventure means more than podiums
The Northern Traverse (190 miles on the Coast to Coast route)
The Summer Spine Race (268 miles up the Pennine Way)
Do you track your calories and if so, how many calories do you consume per day

No I don't track but I when I'm in a training block for a race it's around 3000 per day.

If you wasn't doing your sport what would you be doing

Hiking, rock climbing or just anything in the great outdoors.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be

Fruit smoothie with protein powder and a sprinkling of granola.

What is your favourite genre to listen to while training

Trance.

What's one thing trail running has taught you

That you will encounter many problems but you can overcome most things.
