Good to know
One size, sold as a pair. Not for bar work such as pull-ups, muscle-ups and toes-to-bar, which call for grips.
The VOLT difference

How we compare.

VOLT
Gymnastic grips
The job
Ties you to the bar, so a failing grip no longer ends the set
Lets you release the bar in an instant
Suited to
Heavy pulling: deadlifts, rows, shrugs, carries
Bar work: pull-ups, toes-to-bar, muscle-ups
On a rig
The wrong tool, because a strap is slow to get out of
Designed for the rig

Before you ask

Questions, answered.

Feed the strap through its own loop, slide your hand through and let the tail lie across your palm the way the bar will roll. Take two or three turns around the bar, then roll the bar towards you until it cinches tight.
On heavy deadlifts where grip ends the set before the pull does, on rows and pulldowns done in volume, and on shrugs, carries and late accessory work when your hands are tired.
No. Grip is something you train and straps remove that work, so do warm-ups and lighter sets without them and strap up only when the weight calls for it.
No. Bar work like muscle-ups, toes-to-bar and pull-ups needs gymnastic grips, which you can release in an instant. A strap is too slow to get out of on a rig.
Wraps keep the wrist steady for pressing and overhead lifts. Straps tie you to the bar so grip stops limiting deadlifts and heavy rows. They do different jobs.
