My name is Graham Hicks and I am 34 years old and from Morecambe. I work full time as an Engineer at BAE SYSTEMs where I have worked for over 15 years.
I have been doing strongman since I was 25 years old, I began competing in the under 105kg weight category and now 10 years later I am weighing between 150-160kg depending on what competitions I have.
Besides work and strongman, I am a big family man. I am married to my wife Kimber-lee and we have 3 gorgeous children together. My hobby has always been the gym, and being able to train and compete on the biggest stages in my chosen sport is an amazing experience.
In 2019 I was crowned Britains Strongest man which was actually somewhat a lifetime goal of mine. I have also done powerlifting and hold the best UK total with 1100kg. One day I hope to achieve more in this and challenge the world record in it.
- 2019 1st at Britain’s Strongest Man
- 2018 2nd at Britain’s Strongest Man
I decided a while ago, that I needed a break from competing as we had our 3rd child and couldn’t really balance the daily tasks of training required to compete and do my duties as a father and husband. Now that things have settled down with the family I have decided to return back to training with the goal to achieve the world record for log lifting.
